I’ve always loved taking pictures. I’ve been doing it since I was old enough to pay for my own developing. For all the time, effort and money we invest in our photos we throw them in boxes and put them in unsafe albums. I never really thought about what might happen to my photos until my parents passed away. I now have their photos that were kept in old albums and boxes. The few wedding photos of them are also in a box and some are ripped. It makes me sad. My plan is to scrapbook those photos someday. Although I may need help from my Aunts with some of the names of people in the photos.

I didn’t know what scrapbooking was until a friend hosted a class through a Creative Memories Consultant. I immediately fell in love with scrapbooking at that class. I was in awe of the idea of preserving my photos and writing my stories alongside them, so much so that I became a scrapbooking consultant myself. That was 6 years ago and although I am no longer a consultant, I am still in love with and have been scrapbooking ever since.

My favorite subject to photograph is my three boys. They provide lots of photographing opportunities so I have tons of photos of them. I feel good knowing I am leaving a legacy for my boys and for future generations through my scrapbooking.
